Do your doors perform to its designed standard in the event of a fire? Any slight alteration to the door or its surroundings can affect the performance.  

Periodic checks should be carried out at least once every six months or in some cases more frequently dependant on the usage. 

CMI support our clients to meet governed obligations of maintaining defect free fire doors to ensure full compliance.  

Article 17 of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO/FSO) makes it a legal requirement to ensure that fire resisting doors and escape doors are correctly installed and adequately maintained in order for them to be fit for purpose. 

Approved under BM TRADA Third Party Certification, CMI can fulfil your requirements under RRO/FSO to ensure fire doors are fit for purpose and continue to resist the passage of fire. Maintenance is the most cost effective solution to ensure safety. We work collaboratively with clients from scheduling inspections to liaising directly with residents and customers to arrange access. 

Providing Accredited Installations of Timber and Composite Fire Rated Doors with BM Trada Third Party Certification.

From inception to completion, CMI work with accredited suppliers to provide a site-specific service. Enabling clients to achieve the most appropriate, compliant and cost-effective product.  

Working closely with the Responsible Person, each installation will be clearly identified prior to work commencing, including on site meeting, photographic evidence (pre, during, post), product data (including specification/manufacturer/test evidence), installer credentials and labelling. 

Our BM Trada third party accredited team undertake fire stopping solutions where services such as water, gas, electrics or communications that penetrate through a building’s fire-resistant compartment lines have been disturbed. 

It is vitally important to ensure that the void is appropriately sealed with a suitable fire stopping solution. Both the Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRFSO) require that the person fitting fire-stopping products is competent to do so and third party certification is the accepted means of demonstrating competency.
